1. Overview of Metallic Colors

Introduction

To print metallic colors using the special toner, configure one of the following in the print data:
1. Name the parts to print in metallic colors "Special", and print the data with the overprint setting
applied.
2. Specify the colors of PANTONE Metallics on the parts to print in metallic colors, and specify the
setting values for the metallic colors in Spot Pro of Fiery Command WorkStation.
This document describes second method for printing PANTONE metallic colors.
• To use the special toner, the special color expansion kit is required.
• Spot Pro is an optional feature available when you have a valid of Fiery Graphic Arts Pro.
• You can specify the following PANTONE Metallics colors:
• Commercial Graphics Metallics (specify "PANTONE+ Metallics Coated" in Fiery Command
WorkStation)
• Packaging Metallics (specify "PANTONE+ Premium Metallics Coated" in Fiery Command
WorkStation)
