Messages
One of the following messages may
appear or flash in the front panel display
during operation.
Cannot Play
• A disc that cannot be played back was
inserted.
• A DVD VIDEO with unsupported
region code was inserted.
Data Error
• You tried to play back a file on the disc
or USB device that is not playable.
• The MP3 audio file, JPEG image file
and Xvid video file you want to play
back is damaged.
• The MP3 audio file does not conform to
MPEG 1 Audio Layer 3 format.
• The JPEG image file does not conform
to DCF format.
• The Xvid video file does not conform to
a Xvid Certified profiles.
• The MP3 audio file has the extension
".mp3" but it is not in MP3 format.
• The JPEG image file has the extension
".jpg" or ".jpeg" but it is not in JPEG
format.
• The Xvid video file has the extension
".avi" but is not in Xvid format.
• The MPEG4 video file has the extension
".mp4" or ".m4v", but is not in MPEG4
format.
Device Error
The USB device could not be recognized
or an unknown device is connected.
Device Full!
The memory of the USB device is full.
Erase Error
Erase of audio files or folders on the USB
device failed.
Fatal Error
The USB device was removed during
transferring or erase operation, and may
have been damaged.
Folder Full!
You cannot transfer onto the USB device
because the number of folder has reached
its maximum.
HUB not Supported
An unsupported USB hub device is
connected.
Invalid
You have pressed an invalid button.
LOCKED
The disc tray does not open.
Contact your nearest Sony dealer.
NO DATA
There is no file or folder to be played
back.
No Device
No USB device is connected.
No Disc
There is no disc on the disc tray.
No Tab
You cannot record the tape because the
tab has been removed from the tape.
No Tape
There is no tape in the tape deck.
Not in Use
You tried to perform a specific operation
under conditions where that operation is
prohibited.
Not Supported
An unsupported USB device is connected
or the USB device is connected through
an USB hub.
OFF TIME NG!
The on time and off time of Play Timer or
Recording Timer is the same.
Over Current
An over current from the
