IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

This manual contains important information about this product's operation. If you are installing this product for others, you must leave this manual or a copy with the end user.

When using your equipment, always follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons, including the following:

This unit is NOT WATERPROOF. Never submerge the devices in water or rinse them in running water.
Always position the device and power cord out of the reach of children. The power cord could result in strangulation or cause injury to children.
Keep small parts out of the reach of children (risk of swallowing).
Keep packaging material away from children (risk of suffocation).
Never place the Baby Unit in the cot or within the reach of your child.
Make sure that cables are out of the reach of your child (risk of electric shock).
Always make sure that the devices are fully functioning before use, and that the batteries are sufficiently charged when in battery mode.
Only use the AC adaptors included with the unit.
Do not use the cable to pull the AC adaptor plug out of the socket.
Disconnect the AC adaptor plug from the mains when the device is not in use.
The device and the AC adaptor should not come into contact with hot surfaces or sharp objects.
Do not use any additional parts that are not recommended by the manufacturer or offered as equipment.
After use, before cleaning and changing any accessory parts, the AC adaptor should always be disconnected.
Batteries can contain toxins that are harmful to health and the environment. Always dispose of batteries in accordance with applicable legal regulations. Do not dispose of batteries with normal household waste.

GETTING STARTED

Baby Unit

1	Power LED - Lights up to indicate the unit has been powered on.
2	Power ON/OFF button - Press and hold to turn on/off the unit.
3	Microphone - Receives sounds from the area near the Baby Unit, and transmits the sound to the Parent Unit.
4	Temperature sensor
5	Power Jack (rear) - Connect to the AC adaptor.

Parent Unit

Parent Unit Overview

1	Sound level light display - Lights up to indicate the sound intensity.
2	Link/Power LED - Lights up to indicate the unit has been powered on and paired to the Baby Unit.
3	LCD display
4	Volume Up/Volume Down button - You can adjust the volume up to 5 levels on the unit by pressing the buttons.
5	Power ON/OFF button - Press and hold to turn on/off the unit.
6	Back
7	Menu/OK
8	Power jack (underneath) - Connect to the AC adaptor.
9	Speaker - Produces the sound transmitted from the Baby Unit.
10	Battery compartment

LCD display on the Parent Unit

	Displays when the Parent Unit is on and linked to the Baby Unit. Flashes when there is no link or not in range.
	Displays when the sound alert is enabled. Flashes when the sound alert is triggered.
	Displays when the speaker volume is turned off.
	Battery empty, and needs to be charged.
	1/3 battery level.
	2/3 battery level.
	Full battery
	Cycles through when the battery is charging.

INSTALLATION

Baby Unit

The Baby Unit powers on with the AC adaptor.

Insert the AC adaptor power plug into the Baby Unit's DC socket (at the back of the unit).
Connect the other end into a 240 volt AC (standard indoor) power outlet.

Once the Baby Unit is connected to power, it automatically turns on and the Power LED glows green.
To power off the unit, press and hold the Power button or unplug the AC adaptor.
To power on the unit again, press and hold the Power button.

Parent Unit

Points to note when installing the Parent Unit:

The Parent Unit is designed in such a way that it can be operated only with batteries inserted.
The battery must be charged for at least 16 hours before the unit can be first used independently of the AC adaptor. You may use the unit during this time.

Operation

Connect the AC adaptor on the Parent Unit (with batteries included) to a socket. The device automatically switches on, and the Power LED will light up green.
If the AC adaptor is unplugged, the unit will switch to battery operation. The standby time will depend on the battery charge status.

To switch the unit off press and hold the Power button, and the Power LED will turn off.
To switch on the Parent Unit again, press and hold the Power button. The Power LED of the Parent Unit will light up green to indicate that the device is active.

If the battery on the Parent Unit is low, the unit will beep twice. If the device is not connected to a socket, it will switch off automatically after a short period.
The Power LED will turn off.

LCD Language

You can choose the language to be displayed on the LCD.

Press when the Parent Unit is on standby.
Press and to scroll to the option, Language.
Press and to choose your desired language for the LCD display.
Press to confirm.

Sound Alert

When the sound alert is set on and the Parent Unit volume is turned off, the Parent Unit will emit a sound alert when the noise level from the Baby Unit exceeds a set limit.

Press when the Parent Unit is on standby.
Press and to scroll to the option,Sound Alert, and then press .
A message'Confirm?', displays on the LCD. Press to confirm.

Reset

The adjustable settings can be restored back to their original factory settings.

Press when the Parent Unit is on standby.
Press and to scroll to the option, Reset, and then press.
A message,'Confirm?', displays on the LCD. Press to confirm.

Temperature

The Baby Unit constantly monitors the temperature in your baby's room and alerts you if it gets too hot (higher than 39°C) with the LCD showing, 'High Temp' or too cold (lower than 14°C) with 'Low Temp'. The temperature is displayed clearly on the Parent Unit's idle screen.

This is only for reference, and there may be small difference between the displayed reading compared with the actual temperature. Therefore, please check the actual temperature in the room against the display reading.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problems	Possible Solutions
Power LED does not light up after switch on	Check to ensure that: the AC adaptor is properly plugged in. the batteries are full. Check if the rechargeable battery needs charging or is damaged (Parent Unit).
An acoustic signal sounds from the parent unit	Check to ensure if: the maximum range has been exceeded the AC adaptor for the Baby Unit is properly connected the Baby Unit is switched on the batteries are full. Check if the rechargeable battery needs charging or is damaged (parent unit).
No acoustic signal sounds from the parent unit	Adjust the volume on the Parent Unit.
The device switches off automatically	Replace the batteries or recharge the battery (Parent Unit).
The signal is weak, the connection keeps breaking up or there is interference.	If another device such as a microwave is in the area between the parent and baby units, remove the device or switch it off. Check whether other factors (such as trees etc) are in the path of the two devices, and change the position of the devices until the parent unit signals a connection. Check whether the baby and parent units are inside their respective receiving ranges.
