    The wire that comes from an off air antenna or cable service provider. Each end looks like a hex shaped nut with a wire sticking through the middle, and it screws onto the threaded jack on the back of your TV.

    Select another channel to add or delete or press MENU repeated- ly to remove all menus from the screen and return to TV viewing. Note: Auto Ch Memory finds channels being received by the TV/VCR tuner. CATV will not work unless you subscribe to a cable service.

    Press STOP to halt recording, press EJECT to remove tape when finished. Press EJECT to unload tape and POWER to turn TV/VCR off when finished viewing. You can press REC/OTR repeatedly to choose Instant Timer Recording. Each press will increase recording time by 30 minutes up to a maximum of 5 hours.

    Sets your V-Chip viewing restrictions, Sets On/Off Timer, and Picture adjustments V-Chip Set Sets your viewing restriction preferences.     Insert a VHS cassette tape into the TV/VCR, cue the tape to the posi- tion you want the recording to begin. Insert the tape you want to duplicate into the other VCR or camcorder.
  • Page 40: Video Head Cleaning

    Good Picture quality head cleaning system or have the heads cleaned professionally. The video heads are the means by which the TV/VCR reads the picture from the tape during playback. In the unlikely event that the heads become dirty enough to become clogged, no picture will be seen. If you play a tape and the sound is good but the picture is snowy, the heads may be clogged.

    Snow If the TV/VCR is located far from the TV station, in a fringe area where the signal is weak, small dots may appear in the picture. If the signal is extremely weak, the installation of a larger exter- nal antenna may be necessary.
