7. Cleaning and maintenance

HAZARD!
Always take the battery out of the equipment
before starting any cleaning work.
7.1 Cleaning
Keep all safety devices, air vents and the
motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as
possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean
cloth or blow it down with compressed air at
low pressure.
We recommend cleaning the equipment
immediately each time after use.
Clean the equipment regularly with a damp
cloth and some soft soap. Do not use
cleaning agents or solvents; these may
be aggressive to the plastic parts in the
equipment. Ensure that no water can get into
the interior of the equipment. The ingress of
water into an electric power tool increases the
risk of an electric shock.
Use detergents designed for power washers.
Hardware stores or home centers also
have power washer detergents for different
cleaning projects. The cleaning solution
should be the consistency of water in order
to prevent clogging your detergent bottle and
nozzle.
7.2 Maintenance
Testing the intake hose fi lter
Periodically check the intake fi lter in order to
prevent clogging that could jeopardize the pump's
operation.
Unscrew the water inlet connector (16) from the
intake hose fi lter (11) and clean the exposed inlet
sieve under running water.
Prolonged non-use of the electric pump
The equipment should be completely emptied of
water each time after it is used. This requires you
to switch on the equipment without a connected
water supply and to press the trigger lever (2)
(max. 1 min.) until no more water emerges. Then
you must switch off the equipment.
If the equipment is not used for a prolonged
period of time, lime deposits will begin to form
in the electric pump, which in turn can lead to
starting diffi culties.
