POSSIBLE CAUSE
Descaling has been interrupted or has not been
completed correctly.
Milk has been delivered recently and the tubes
inside the milk carafe (E) must be cleaned.
A recipe with milk was requested
Too much coffee has been used.
Indicates that the machine needs descaling.
The water softener filter (D4) is exhausted.
The inside of the appliance is very dirty.
Remember that the internal tubes of the milk
carafe (E) must be cleaned.
Reminds you the filter (D4) must be replaced.
The machine must be descaled.
Energy saving is enabled.
REMEDY
Press NEXT to resume the descaling proce-
dure. For more information, see section "13.
Descaling".
Turn the froth adjustment dial (E1) to CLEAN
(fig. 18).
Turn the dial to the required froth position.
Select a milder taste by pressing the "INTEN-
SITY" button (C5) or reduce the quantity of
ground coffee (maximum 1 measure).
Press the selector corresponding to "OK" to
start descaling or "ESC" to descale later. The
descaling procedure described in section "13.
Descaling" needs to be performed.
Press the selector corresponding to "OK" to re-
place or remove the filter, or "ESC" to carry out
the procedure later. Follow the instructions in
section "15. Water softener filter".
Clean the inside of the appliance thoroughly,
as described in section "12. Cleaning". If the
message is still displayed after cleaning, con-
tact De'Longhi customer services and/or an
authorized service centre.
Turn the froth adjustment dial (E1) to CLEAN
(fig. 18).
Replace the filter or remove it as described in
section "15. Water softener filter".
The descaling procedure needs to be carried
out without delay, see section "13. Descaling".
To disable energy saving, proceed as described
in section "6.13 Energy saving
