| To play a compact disc
1 Turn on the power of the player.
2 insert discs into the Rolling Rack, and close the
rack and the front panel.

Insert discs to be played into the Rolling Racks beforehand.
(Refer to
"BEFORE OPERATING THE PLAYER" on page 8.)
3 Press PLAY » on the front panel or » on the
remote control unit to start playback.

Piayback starts with the desired mode if the playing mode is
selected beforehand. In the program playback mode, the first
programmed step is played back. In the custom playback
mode, playback starts from the lowest disc number,
e
Piayback starts with ALL made unless the playing mode is not
specified.
@ The rack indicator which contains the disc being played blinks.
Discs in the Rolling Rack other than the disc being played can
be changed during playback. The rack indicator which contains
the disc being played blinks rapidly when the front panel and
other Rolling Racks are opened in the playback mode.
@ While the front panel and the Rolling Rack are opened, the
Rolling Rack's number which cannot be opened appears on the
display. (* PAL Kk 2 * means Rolling Rack 2 cannot be
opened.)
NOTES:
@
When "ALL-no' appears on the display, it means no discs are in the
player.
@
The Rolling Rack which contains the disc being played cannot be
opened, and discs cannot be changed in that rack.
@
While opening of the front panel or one of the Rolling Racks, the
player will not enter the playback mode even though » or
RANDOM is pressed.
Be sure to close the Rolling Rack and the
front panel before pressing » or RANDOM.

While the front panel and the Rolling Rack are opened, the search
operation for other discs cannot be carried out.
To pause playback temporarily:
Press PAUSE tt on the front panel or al on the remote control unit.
The # indicator lights and playback is paused at that point.
Pressing 1 again or » resumes playback from the position where
li was pressed.
To stop playback:
Press STOP @ on the front panel or B on the remote control unit.
The player enters stop mode with Last disc memory.
Last disc memory
When STOP @ on the front panel or @ on the remote control unit is
pressed, or the power is turned off, the player memorizes the disc
which playback was stopped. Therefore, playback can be resumed
from the last played disc.
in the program playback mode, playback resumes from the first
programmed disc.
Last disc memory function can be carried out in ALL, SINGLE, or
CUSTOM playback mode.
Last disc memory does not function after random playback.
1. When STOP mor Mis pressed during normal playback, the player
enters standby mode with Last disc memory.

Even when the power is turned off, the playing mode, the
program mode, the custom mode, or the last played disc is
stored in the player.
2. Press PLAY » or >.
Playback starts from the disc which playback
was stopped. (When
the power is turned off, turn on the power, and then press PLAY
ore)
