Reset Button
By pressing the Reset Button, the reading on the tape
counter will become "0:00:00". Also, the editing point will
be reset.
Audio Dubbing
Button/Lamp
During playback, audio dub may be started by pressing
Play @ and Audio Dub Buttons at the same time. Dubbing
into CH1,
CH2,
or both
may
be done
by selecting
appropriate channel(s).
elf this button is pressed during stop mode with tape that
has removable tabs inserted, the lamp will light up to
indicate that audio dub can be made.
Rewind
Button/Lamp
Use this button when you wish to rewind the tape. While
the tape is being rewound, this lamp is lit.
Stop Button/Lamp
By pressing this button, the entire unit will stop and the
lamp will light.
Fast Forward
Button/Lamp
Use this button to move the tape forward at high speed.
While the tape is traveling forward at high speed, the lamp
will be lit.
JOG/SHTL Button/Lamp
By pressing this button, the lamp will light and the unit will
go into JOG/SHTL
mode. By pressing this button once
again during a search, the lamp will go out and the unit will
revert to the normal playback mode.
Shuttle Ring (outer)/Jog
Dial (inner)
Use this ring or dial to search for the editing points.
Power Switch
By pressing the "ON" side of this switch, power will be
supplied to the unit. Also, the audio
CH1,
CH2,
and
video/tracking
meter
lamps
will light, and
the mode
(COUNT,
VISS
or VASS)
set before
power
OFF
will
appear on the tape counter (the data will be cleared). By
pressing the "OFF" side of the switch, the power will be
cut off.

Headphone Jack (1/4" Phone)
If you connect
8-ohm
input impedance
stereo

phones to this jack, you can monitor the audio from either
CH1 or CH2, or both channels, in accordance with the
setting of the Audio Monitor Selector.

Level Control
For adjusting the output level of the headphones.
@) Tracking Control
Set the CH2
Meter
Selector @ to the "TRACKING"
position, and adjust the Tracking Control until the reading
on the meter reaches maximum during the playback of a
recorded tape.
Slow Tracking Control
For use with slow motion playback.
Normally
feave this control in its centre
"FIX" detent
position.
Picture Quality Adjusting
Knob
This knob is used to adjust picture sharpness
during
playback.
Microphone
CH1/CH2
Jacks (1/4" Phone)
For connecting external microphones.
Audio Monitor Selector
Selects the audio channel which is to be heard on the TV
monitor, headphones, through Audio Monitor Output Jack,
or VHF Antenna
Output Connector.
CH1:
To monitor audio CH1
only.
MIX:
To monitor mixed CH1
and CH2
audio.
CH2:
To monitor audio CH2 only.
Also selects either normal or Hi-Fi for Audio Level Meter
@®, @, Audio Monitor Connector (© on rear panel) and
Headphone Jack @®.
Audio Output Selector
NORM:
Normal Audio is output from Audio Output
Jacks (@ on rear panel).
Hi-Fi/AUTO: If Hi-Fi sound is recorded, Hi-Fi sound will
be output. If Hi-Fi Sound is not recorded on
the tape, normal audio will be automatically
output from Audio Output Jacks (@ on rear
panel).
Hi-Fi REC
Switch
ON:
Both Hi-Fi and normal audio will be recorded.
OFF:
Only normal audio will be recorded.
Input Signal Selector
S-VIDEO:
To
record
video
signals
from
a S-VIDEO
source connected to the 4P S-VIDEO
Input
Connector
(® on rear panel).
To record video signal connected to the Video
Input Connector
(@ on rear panel).
