and Super Bass)
3°DSB System

This new sound system combines the 3-dimensional sound from
the two front speakers (and the center speaker for the CQ-FX820N
only) with the super bass from the rear speakers.
@ For AM//FM Monaural Sound (Viirtual Stereo Effect)
The 3¢DSB virtual stereo effect widens the range of sound from
the 4-channel speakers when you listen to an AM or FM monaural
broadcast.
The 3*DSB employs Spatializer® ICs of Desper Products, Inc.
Loudness
This enhances bass and treble tones and is effective for medium or
lower volume.
3¢DSB and Loudness Combination
Press [3°D] to change the combination of the 3*DSB and loudness as
follows.

3°DSB Effect Level
@ Press and hold [3¢D] until "EFFECT" appears on the display when
3*DSB is on, and 3°DSB effect level can be adjusted (except for
Virtual Stereo Effect).
@ Press [/\VOL] or [\/ VOL] to select
one of the 10 volume levels (0 - 9).
(Default: level 6)

[The center speaker (EAB-CF2) is optional.]
@ Press and hold [3¢D] until "EFFECT" appears on the display when
3¢DSB is on (except for Virtual Stereo Effect).

SP" appears on the dis-
play.
@ Press [/\VOL] or [\/ VOL] to select one of 8 levels (0 to 7) for the
center speaker volume. (Default: level 4)
Notes:
© The spread of sound produced by the conventional 3* DSB can be fur-
ther increased by using the center speaker.
e@The center speaker sounds
only when the 3*DSB
is turned on
(except for Virtual Stereo Effect).
