The unit provides, by means of calibrated front panel potentiometers, an
adjustment range of 4-6V on the 5V output and 12-17V on the balanced
twin 15V rail, i.e. the + and-rails are adjusted together by means of
one control. The 5V rail has overvoltage protection. Overcurrent protec
tion, which automatically resets on removal of fault condition, is fea
tured on all outputs. LED indication of overload condition is a novel
feature on each output and fuses are provided for the mains input, the
5V output and, on the TOPS 2, for the +15V rails.
The Farnell TOPS is an extremely useful and practical addition to any
electronics workbench and affords maximum protection for your devices.
