To obtain the best possible surround sound.
set the size of the speakers you have
connected and their distance from your
listening position. Then use the lest tone to
adjust Ihe volume and balance ol the speakers NONE
to the same level.
This setting is ellective when connecting a
speaker with 5.1 CH OUTPUT,jacks (page • SUBWOOFER
24).

• If your speakers are too small to reproduce low
bass frequencies, utilize a subwoofer for low
frequency sound. When you set the speaker
settings to "SMALL," the bass redirection
circuitry will be activated and the bass
frequencies for the speakers are output from the
subwoofer.
• Even if there are fewer than 6 speakers connected,
t he l_h_yerdist ribules the audi° sign al c°mp°nenls
to the fronl speakers.
• When you set Ihe front speaker selling to
"SMALL." you cannot set the center and rear _,
speaker settings to "LARGE," and Ille subwoofer =
selting Io "NONE."
