If you are connecting to a video input jack
Connect the yellow plug ol the audie/video tom (supplied) to Ihe yellow (video)jacks. You will
enjoy slandard qualily images.

(receiver) having component video input jacks (Y, PdCB,PdC_)
Connect the compenenl via lhe COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks using a compeueul video
cord (not supplied) or three video cords (not supplied) ol the same kind and leugth. You will
enjoy accurale color reproduclion and high qualily images, l f your TV accepls progressive 480p
lormal signals, you lllUSl use this conneclion and sel "COMPONENT OUT" in "SCREEN
SETUP" Io "PROGRESSIVE" (page 79).

G If you are connecting to an HDMI/DVI input jack
Use a cerlified HDMI cord (nol supplied) lo enjoy high qualily digital piclure and sound lhreugh
the HDMI OUT jack.
Note that Super Audio CD sound is nel oulput from lhe HDMI OUT jack.
To connect to a TV with DVI input
Use an HDMI-DVI cenverter cord (net supplied). The DVI jack will not accept any audio
signals, so yeu have to use another audio connection in addition to this connection (page 20).
Furthermore, yeu cannot connect the HDMI OUT jack to DV1 jacks that are not HDCP
compliant (e.g., DV1 jacks on PC displays).
To changethe aspect ratio for the connectedTV
Depending on the disc and the TV lype (staudaM 4:3 screen TV or wide screen TV), the image
may nel fil the TV screen. II lhis happens, change the aspect ralio (page 78).
