disconnect, turn any control to OFF (O) then remove plug from wall outlet.
• Keep lid on kettle when in use.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
• Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.

GROUNDED PLUG
As a safety feature, this product is equipped with a grounded plug, which will only fit into
a three-prong outlet. do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. Improper connection
of the grounding conductor may result in the risk of electric shock. Consult a qualified
electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to prevent removal of
the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not attempt to remove the
outer cover. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by
authorized service personnel.
ELECTRICAL CORD
1. A short power cord (or detachable power cord) is be provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
2. Longer detachable power cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in
their use.
3. If a long detachable powercord or extension cord is used,
a) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power cord or extension cord should be at
least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance,
b) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type
3-wire cord, and
c) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop
where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
Note: If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced by qualified personnel; in Latin America,
by an authorized service center.
HOW TO USE
This unit is for household use only.
GETTING STARTED
• Before first use, wash the interior of the kettle and the removable filter with hot soapy water and
rinse well until water is clear.
• Select a level surface where this unit is to be used allowing enough space for steam to escape
without damage to counters, cabinets and walls.
• Uncoil power cord from cord storage at bottom of the swivel base.
• Fill kettle with 2¾ cups cold tap water and 2 cups vinegar and place on swivel base. Close cover.
• Plug cord into standard electrical outlet.
• Bring to a full boil and discard water.
• Fill kettle with at least 6 cups of cold tap water. Bring to full boil and discard; repeat. Kettle is now
ready for use.
Note: The kettle will only operate when the I/O (On/Off) switch is in the I (On) position. The kettle
will automatically switch off once the water has boiled. The kettle will automatically shut off if
there is no water in the kettle.
FILLING THE KETTLE
Press lid release button to open cover of kettle. Fill with desired amount of cold tap water (from
4¼ to 7 cups). Do not fill past the Max Fill line on the water window to prevent boiling water from
spilling onto the counter.
NOTE:
• Do not operate the kettle without water.
• Do not fill past Max Fill line on the water window.
• Do not open the cover while water is heating.
BOILING WATER
1. Press lid to close.
2. Place kettle on the swivel base so the element on the bottom of the kettle rests securely on the swivel
base.
3. Position kettle with spout facing away from walls, cabinets and your body.
4. Plug the swivel base into a standard electrical outlet.
5. Press the I/O (On/Off) switch button to the I (on) position (there will be a click), the light comes on and the
water begins to heat.
6. When water boils, the kettle will automatically shut off and the indicator light will go out. Do not try to hold
the switch in the I (ON) position once the water has boiled.
7. To re-boil water, first allow the kettle to cool. Before pressing the I/O (On/Off) switch check that there
is enough water in the kettle. Simply press the I/O (On/Off) switch to the I (ON) position or pour out any
unused water and refill.
Warning: Kettle filled with boiling water is hot. Use only the stay-cool handle to pick it up.
When taking kettle to the table, carry kettle with caution to avoid spillage. Set it on a trivet
or hot pad to protect the table surface or tablecloth.
8. To remove kettle from swivel base simply lift up.
Note: Make sure lid is closed before pouring hot water from the kettle.
9. Hold kettle level when pouring, especially when filled to maximum. Do not pour too fast.
10. Empty and unplug the kettle when not in use.
REMOVABLE FILTER
Always boil water with the filter in place just behind the spout.
CONCEALED HEATING ELEMENT
This unit has a boil/dry protection safety feature that automatically turns off the kettle when boil-
ing starts or when there is no water inside the kettle.
BUILT-IN SCALE PROTECTION
Lime scale forms over time when water is heated. Though harmless, it may be bothersome. The
concealed heating element in the kettle is designed to help reduce scale buildup. The kettle has a
scale filter at the bottom of the pour spout to prevent particles from pouring into your beverage.
CARE AND CLEANING
This appliance contains no user-serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified service personnel.
CLEANING
• Before cleaning, be sure the base is unplugged and the kettle has cooled completely. Empty
any remaining water from the kettle.
• Pull out the scale filter for cleaning. Wash the filter in hot soapy water and rinse or place it in
the utensil holder of the dishwasher.
• Wash the inside of the kettle with soapy water and rinse. NEVER IMMERSE THE KETTLE IN
WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS or place in a dishwasher.
• Wipe the exterior of the kettle and base with a damp cloth or sponge and dry. The concealed
heating element at the bottom of the interior may discolor. This will not affect performance. Do
not use abrasive soaps, cleansers, or scouring pads.
• Over time, the kettle may heat up but will not boil, depending on your use and the hardness of
the water in your area. When this happens, it is time for descaling. Use a scale/lime remover
and follow its manufacturer's directions.
CORD STORAGE
Conveniently store the cord beneath the base by wrapping it around the grooves on the base.

• Pueden ocurrir quemaduras si se retira la tapa durante los ciclos de preparación .

ENCHUFE DE TIERRA
Como medida de seguridad, este producto cuenta con un enchufe de tierra que podrá
conectarse a una toma de corriente de tres clavijas. no trate de alterar esta medida de
seguridad. La conexión incorrecta del conductor de tierra puede resultar en riesgo de
descarga eléctrica. Consulte con un electricista calificado si tiene dudas acerca de si el
tomacorriente está correctamente conectado a tierra.
TORNILLO DE SEGURIDAD
Advertencia: Este aparato cuenta con un tornillo de seguridad para evitar la remoción de
la cubierta exterior del mismo. A fin de reducir el riesgo de incendio o de choque eléctrico,
por favor no trate de remover la cubierta exterior. Este producto no contiene piezas
reparables por el consumidor. Toda reparación se debe llevar a cabo únicamente por

CABLE ELÉCTRICO
1. El producto se debe de proporcionar con un cable eléctrico corto (o uno separable), a fin de reducir el
riesgo de tropezar o de enredarse en un cable más largo.
2. Existen cables eléctricos más largos y separables o cables de extensión que uno puede utilizar
si toma el cuidado debido.
3. Si se utiliza un cable separable o de extensión,
a) El régimen nominal del cable separable o del cable de extensión
debe ser, como mínimo, igual al del régimen nominal del aparato.
b) Si el aparato es de conexión a tierra, el cable de extensión debe
ser un cable de tres alambres de conexión a tierra.
c) Uno debe de acomodar el cable más largo de manera que no
cuelgue del mostrador o de la mesa, para evitar que un niño tire del
mismo o que alguien se tropiece.
Nota: Si el cordón de alimentación es dañado, en América Latina debe
sustituirse por personal calificado o por el centro de servicio autorizado.
COMO USAR
Este producto es solamente para uso doméstico.
PRIMEROS PASOS
• Antes de usar por primera vez, lave el interior del hervidor y el filtro removible con agua caliente
jabonosa y enjuáguelo bien hasta que el agua salga clara.
• Seleccione una superficie plana donde vaya a situar el hervidor para utilizarlo, que cuente con el
espacio suficiente para que el vapor escape sin dañar el mostrador, los gabinetes o las paredes.
• Desenrolle el cable de alimentación de guardar el cable en la parte inferior de la base giratoria.
• Llene el hervidor con 2 ¾ tazas de agua fría de la llave y 2 tazas de vinagre y colóquelo sobre la
base giratoria. Cierre la tapa.
• Enchufe el cable a un tomacorriente estándar.
• Deje que el agua hierva y luego deséchela.
• Llene el hervidor con por lo menos 6 tazas de agua fría de llave. Deje que el agua hierva y luego
deséchela; repita este paso. Su hervidor ya está listo para utilizar.
Nota: El hervidor solo funcionará cuando el interruptor de encendido/apagado (I/O) esté en la
posición de encendido (I). El hervidor se apagará automáticamente una vez que el agua haya
hervido. El hervidor se apagará automáticamente si no tiene agua.
PARA LLENAR EL HERVIDOR
Presione el botón para soltar y abrir la tapa del hervidor. Llene el hervidor con la cantidad deseada
de agua fría de la llave (de 4¼ a 7 tazas).No sobrepase la línea máxima de llenado en la ventana
de agua para evitar que el agua hirviendo se derrame sobre el mostrador.
Nota:
• No ponga el hervidor a funcionar sin agua.
• No sobrepase la línea máxima de llenado en la ventana de agua.
• No abra la tapa mientras el agua se esté calentando.
PARA HERVIR AGUA
1. Presione la tapa para cerrarla.
2. Coloque el hervidor en la base de manera que el elemento de calor debajo del hervidor descanse con
seguridad sobre la base.
3. Posicione el hervidor de forma que la boquilla quede mirando en dirección contraria y alejada de las
paredes, los gabinetes y su cuerpo.
4. Enchufe la base a un tomacorriente estándar.
5. Presione el interruptor de encendido/apagado (I/O) a la posición de encendido (I) (escuchará un clic), la
luz indicadora de funcionamiento se ilumina y el agua comienza a calentar.
6. Cuando el agua hierva, el hervidor se apagará automáticamente y la luz indicadora de funcionamiento
se apagará. No intente mantener el interruptor en la posición de encendido (I) una vez que el agua haya
hervido.
7. Para volver a utilizar el hervidor, deje que se enfríe. Antes de presionar el interruptor de encendido/
apagado (I/O), verifique que haya suficiente cantidad de agua en el interior del hervidor. Simplemente
presione el interruptor de encendido/apagado (I/O) de modo que quede en la posición de encendido (I) o
bien deseche el agua que no haya utilizado y vuelva a llenar el hervidor.
Advertencia: El hervidor se calienta cuando contiene agua que está hirviendo. Levántelo
solamente por el asa fría. Si se transporta el hervidor a la mesa, llévelo con cuidado para
evitar derrames. Colóquelo sobre una placa o almohadilla resistente al calor para proteger
la superficie de la mesa o el mantel.
8. Para retirar el hervidor de la base giratoria, simplemente levántelo.
Nota: Asegúrese de que la tapa esté cerrada antes de servir agua caliente.
9. Sirva el agua con cuidado, especialmente cuando el hervidor está lleno al máximo. No sirva muy rápido.
10. Vacíe y desenchufe el hervidor cuando no se encuentre en uso.
FILTRO REMOVIBLE
Siempre hierva agua con el filtro en posición, detrás de la boquilla.
ELEMENTO DE CALOR OCULTO
El hervidor cuenta con un sistema de protección y seguridad que impide que éste hierva hasta
secarse o en seco, el cual lo apaga automáticamente cuando comienza a hervir o cuando no tiene
agua.
PROTECCIÓN INTEGRADA CONTRA SARRO
Con el transcurso del tiempo, se forma sarro al calentar agua. Aunque no es dañino, el sarro
puede resultar molestoso. El elemento de calor oculto en el hervidor está diseñado para ayudar a
reducir la acumulación de sarro. El hervidor cuenta con un filtro removible en la parte inferior de la
boquilla que evita que se cuelen partículas dentro del líquido que se va a consumir.
CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA
Este aparato no contiene partes que el consumidor pueda reparar. En caso de requerir servicio,
por favor acuda a personal de servicio calificado.
LIMPIEZA
• Antes de limpiarlo, asegúrese de que la base esté desenchufada y de que el hervidor se haya
enfriado completamente. Deseche el agua que haya quedado en el hervidor.
• Hale el filtro para sacarlo. Lávelo con agua caliente jabonosa y enjuáguelo o colóquelo en el
recipiente de utensilios de la máquina lavaplatos.
• Lave el interior del hervidor con agua jabonosa y enjuáguelo. NUNCA SUMERJA EL HERVIDOR
EN AGUA NI EN NINGÚN OTRO LÍQUIDO ni lo coloque en la máquina lavaplatos.
• Limpie el exterior del hervidor y la base con un paño húmedo o esponja y séquelos. Es posible
que el elemento de calor oculto en la parte inferior del interior quede descolorido. Esto no
afecta su rendimiento. No use esponjas de aluminio ni líquidos limpiadores.
• Con el transcurso del tiempo, es posible que el hervidor caliente pero que no hierva,
dependiendo del uso que se le da y de la dureza del agua de su zona. Cuando esto ocurre, es
necesario quitar el sarro. Utilice un desoxidante o limpiador de sarro y siga las instrucciones
del fabricante.
ALMACENAMIENTO DEL CABLE
Para su conveniencia, enrolle el cable alrededor de las guías localizadas debajo de la base.

Procedimiento para hacer válida la garantía
Acuda al Centro de Servicio Autorizado con el producto con la póliza de Garantía sellada o el
comprobante de compra original, ahí se reemplazará cualquier pieza o componente defectuoso
sin cargo alguno para el usuario final. Esta Garantía incluye los gastos de transportación que se
deriven de su cumplimiento.
Excepciones
Esta Garantía no será válida cuando el producto:
A)Se hubiese utilizado en condiciones distintas a las normales.
B)No hubiese sido operado de acuerdo con el instructivo de uso que le acompaña.
C) Cuando el producto hubiese sido alterado o reparado por personas no autorizadas por Rayovac
de México SA de CV.
