Notes on assembling the license plate on the
front license plate holder
* NOTE Malfunctions and system failures
due to incorrect mounting of the license
plate on the front license plate holder
If the license plate is incorrectly mounted on
the front license plate holder, sensors, cam-
eras or driving and safety systems may mal-
function or fail.
Observe the following points when mounting
the license plate on the front license plate
holder:
Mount the license plate directly on the

license plate holder without advertising
media or other holders.
Mount the license plate so that it does

not protrude above or to the side of the
license plate adapter.

radio regulation
Information on crossing national borders
You must observe the radio regulations for the
country in which you are currently operating your
vehicle.
USA: "Radio based devices of this vehicle comply
with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is sub-
ject to the following two conditions: 1) These devi-
ces may not cause harmful interference, and 2)
These devices must accept any interference
received, including interference that may cause
undesired operation.Changes or modifications not
expressly approved by the party responsible for
compliance could void the user's authority to
operate the equipment."
Canada: "This vehicle contains licence-exempt
transmitter(s)/receiver(s) that comply with Inno-
vation, Science and Economic Development Can-
ada's licence-exempt RSS(s). Operation is subject
to the following two conditions: (1) These devices
may not cause interference. (2) These devices
must accept any interference, including interfer-
ence that may cause undesired operation of the

Diagnostics connection

The diagnostics connection is a technical inter-
face in the vehicle. It is used, for example, during
repair and maintenance work or for reading out
vehicle data in a specialist workshop. Diagnostic
devices should therefore only be connected in a
qualified specialist workshop.
