The LED worklights will light when the tool is powered on. If
the trigger is not pressed the LED worklights will shut off.
The worklight is activated when the trigger switch is
depressed. The lights will remain on for 30 seconds. After
30 seconds, the lights will shut off.
The tool remains on for 15 minutes after last
trigger activation.

to a USB port on a computer. A battery must be inserted in
the tool. Go to the Home page of the website to access tool
tracking and usage reports stored on the knockout tool.
nOTE: The USB connection will not charge the tool's
battery pack.

OPERATION


WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn unit off and remove the battery pack
before making any adjustments or removing/
installing attachments or accessories. An
accidental start‑up can cause injury.

Installing and Removing the Battery Pack

(Fig. E)

WARNING: Ensure the tool/appliance is in the off
position before inserting the battery pack.
nOTE: For best results, make sure your battery pack is
fully charged.
1. To install the battery pack 
the battery pack with the rails inside the tool's handle
and slide it into the handle until the battery pack is firmly
seated in the tool and ensure that it does not disengage.

Proper Hand Position (Fig. F)

Proper hand position requires one hand on the main
handle

from the punching head, draw stud, die and punch while
performing a knockout.
Punching (Fig. A, H)
Before beginning a punch, inspect and discard material
and accessories with cracks or other damage.
Before beginning a punch, check the fuel gauge to
determine whether the battery charge is sufficient to
complete the operation.
Do not attempt to punch through more than one layer of
material at a time.
Press and hold the hydraulic ram return switch 
ensure the puller is in its base position.
Preparing the Material (Fig. H)
1. Select the appropriate punch
draw stud

for the application. Refer to DCE600
Accessories Chart for chart.
2. Determine and mark the exact location for the hole.
3. Drill a pilot hole slightly larger than the draw stud.
4. Slide the draw stud through the die, then through
the material.
5. Screw the punch onto the draw stud with the cutting
edge facing the material.
6. Tighten the punch and die securely against each side of
the material to hold the assembly in place.
nOTE: All of the punch threads must be engaged with
the draw stud threads. If any punch threads are not
engaged, reassemble the setup.
7. Slide the DCE600 knockout tool's puller 
draw stud.
8. Rotate the puller guard 
area of the puller is completely covered to secure the
draw stud connection.
Punching the Material
1. Grasp the handle firmly and ensure hands and body are
away from the punch and die.
2. Press the power ON/OFF button 
3. Pull the trigger switch 
nOTE: Hold the trigger long enough for the punch to
go over the punch and die relief and avoid the punch
getting stuck in the die.
4. Release the trigger switch when the knockout
is complete.
