CAUTIONS TO BE OBSERVED WHEN TROUBLESHOOTING
CAUTION
Whilst repairing the microwave oven, please remove,all
hand and wrist jewelery.
. Check the earthing
Do not operate the unit without an earth wire. Always check the
unit is earthed before operating.
. Door adjustment
If making any adjustments or replacements regarding the door
assembly.
Please check the following.
a) The door closes tightly after adjustment or replacement.
b) There is no broken hinge or door arm.
Cc) The door seal is not damaged
d) The door is not bent or warped
e) There is no visible damage.
High voltage charge in the capacitor
After operating the microwave oven, before any troubleshooting
you must discharge the high voltage capacitor as shown in the
drawing. You must use a insulated tool capable of withstanding a
voltage of SKV.
High voltage components
Voltages above 250V exsist on the following parts during operation
of the microwave oven.
*Magnetron
*High Voltage Transformer
*High Voltage Diode
*High Voltage Capacitor
Treat the above as high voltage components, do not work on these
parts whilst the unit is in operation.
Do not try to measure any
voltages in the high voltage part of the circuit.
. Confirm after repair
A) After repair or replacement of parts, make sure that the screws
of the oven, are neither loose nor missing. Microwaves may leak
if screws are not properly tightened.
B) Make sure that all electrical connections are tight before
inserting the plug into the wall outlet.
CAUTION
MICROWAVE
ENERGY LEAKAGE
To avoid microwave leakage make sure that the magnetron
is attached to the oven cavity securely and that the flange is
sealed correctly. Never operate the oven empty always place
an absorbing load inside the oven cavity during use.
