Error Messages
• "H" blinks.
• Measurement value and
"A" flash alternately.
• "-O-" blinks.
Cause
• The pulse is too strong for
correct measurement.
• Motion artifact
The measurement value
is displayed, however, the
a c c u r a c y o f t h e
m e a s u r e m e n t v a l u e s
cannot be guaranteed.
• The pulse rate exceeds the
upper limit (230 bpm) of
the measurement range.
Solution
• A t t a c h t h e p r o b e t o t h e b o d y
c o r r e c t l y . I f t h i s m e s s a g e i s
displayed when the unit is attached
t o t h e p a t i e n t c o r r e c t l y , t h e
m e a s u r e m e n t c o n d i t i o n s a r e
regarded as blood circulation or
other circulatory problems. If this
occurs, search for a location where
more stable pulse signals can be
obtained.
• If this message reappears even
though the above points have been
c h e c k e d , t h e p r o b e m a y b e
malfunctioning. Use another probe.
• Attach the probe to the patient
properly. If this message still
reappears even though the probe is
a t t a c h e d p r o p e r l y , k e e p t h e
measuring point as stationary as
possible or attach the probe to
another part of the body where body
movement is relatively low.
• Measurement cannot be performed
w h e n t h e u p p e r l i m i t o f t h e
measurement range is exceeded.
