Changing the battery
Only slide the battery holder into
the device if it contains a battery,
otherwise it can no longer be re-
moved.
If the app or device displays an empty
battery
(see „8.4 Error codes and flas-
hing sequences" on page
there is no response from the device
in question after pressing the pushbut-
ton, replace the old battery with a new
CR2032 one.
• Open the battery compartment (B)
by pulling out the battery holder
(C)
(see
figure).
• Remove the empty battery from
the battery holder.
• Insert a new lithium battery
(CR2032) into the battery holder,
observing the correct polarity (po-
sitive pole at the top). Ensure that
the type description on the battery
is facing up.

The lithium coin cell used must be
short circuit-proof. Only use the
supplied battery holder to insert
the battery – no metallic objects
such as pliers or tweezers.
Once the battery has been inserted, the
device starts by performing a self-test for
approx. 2 seconds. Afterwards, initialisa-
tion is carried out. The LED test display
will indicate that initialisation is complete
by lighting up orange and green.
Caution! There is a risk of explosi-
on if the battery is not replaced
correctly. Only replace with the
same or equivalent type. Never
recharge standard batteries. Do
not throw the batteries into a fire.
Do not expose batteries to exces-
sive heat. Do not short-circuit
batteries. Doing so will present a
risk of explosion.
