NI-9485 Block Diagram NI 9485 You can connect the NI-9485 to sinking-output or sourcing-output devices. A sinking-output device provides a path for current or voltage from the CHa or CHb terminal. A sourcing-output device drives current or applies voltage to the CHa or CHb terminal.

NI-9485 Getting Started Protecting Inductive Loads When you connect inductive loads to the NI-9485 SSR outputs, a large counter- electromotive force may occur at switching time as a result of the energy stored in the inductive load. These flyback voltages can damage the relay outputs and/or the external power supply.
