    The FENDT dealer's commissioning at the operator's site ensures that you understand both the operating and service instructions. You should contact your FENDT dealer if you do not understand any parts of this Operator's Manual. It is essential that these instructions are understood and observed.

    2. Service and maintenance 2.1 General WARNING: Before any maintenance and repair work and before opening the bonnet, switch off the engine and remove the ignition key. Apply the hand brake and chock the wheels, if necessary. When working on the engine, disconnect the battery (negative terminal). When the maintenance work is complete, replace all protective devices.

    2. Service and maintenance Drain the engine oil Turn off the engine. WARNING: Danger of burns from hot oil when draining. Wear protective gloves. NOTE: Collect used oil; do not let it seep into the ground. Dispose of drained oil according to the appropriate regulations.

    2. Service and maintenance Change the filter cartridge (C). Clean any dirt from the sealing surfaces. Replace the seal ring (B), lightly oil the new seal ring after fitting. Fit filter cover (A) and screw in tightly to a torque of (25 Nm (18 lbf ft)). Check filter attachment for leaks.

    2. Service and maintenance 2.4 Fuel system 2.4.1 Change the fuel filter DANGER: Fuel is easily ignited; danger of explosion. Fire, naked lights and smoking are therefore prohibited when handling fuel. Avoid fuel coming into contact with your skin or clothing. Your health is at risk if your skin comes into direct contact with fuel or if you breathe in fuel fumes.
