Burner Head
Is the burner flame lifting off of the burner
head?
Does the burner fail to light or stay lit?
Do the burners light, but the flame is low?
Do the burner flames have yellow tips?
Is there evidence of a burner meltdown?
Inspect the burner head. Is there visible
damage (meltdown)?
Burner Supply Valve
Do the burner or pilots fail to light or stay
lit?
Inspect the burner supply valve.
Is the valve visibly damaged?
Is the valve closed?
Visually inspect for chips or damage.
Is the cooktop warped or cracked?
Is the cooktop rattling during operation?
Action Based On Status
Check the gas pressure.
Check the gas pressure.
Check for obstructions in the orifice.
Check the air/gas mixture.
Confirm the burner supply valve is
functioning.
Check for an installation issue.
Clean the burner.
For RA ranges and cooktops only: Check the
orifice-to-burner alignment.
Check for a negative air draft installation issue.
If damage is observed, replace the component (visit

Perform a spray leak test.
Check the gas pressure.
Check the supply valve and turn the valve to the
open position.
If damage is observed, replace the component (visit

Turn the valve to the open position.
Cooktop
Excessive heat build-up could result from pans that
exceed 10 in. (254 mm) in size or that are not large
enough to cover the burner area and/or contain the
cooked food. This heat build-up can result in damage
to the range and warping or blistering of the cooktop.

Check to see if there are grommets missing from the
range top. If so, replace the grommets (visit www.
eDometic.com for service kit information and www.
dometic.com for installation details).
