SENDING ALL STORED REPORTS
a). Results transmission – operating with bi-directional mode off.
1. Set MODE to BATCH
2. Press the [SEND] key
The specimen number for each report will be displayed as each report is transmitted to the host
computer. After transmission is completed, the screen will return to the Specimen screen in STORE
mode.
Note: the operator may desire to clear the Batch memory before continuing with a new batch –
see Batch Clear operation.
b). Results transmission – operating with bi-directional mode on.

The specimen number for each report will be displayed as each report is transmitted to the host
computer. The host computer will return either:
<ctrl U>
<ctrl F>
After all report transmissions are completed, the screen will return to the Specimen screen in
STORE mode. (Notes: 1). The unit will not send data out the printer port in this mode; 2). The
operator may desire to clear the Batch memory before entering a new batch of results – see batch
Clear operation).
BI-DIRECTIONAL OPERATION – TIME-OUT
When operating in the bi-directional mode, the COMP-U-DIFF has a built in time-out capability to
avert the possibility of a lockup. After the unit transmits to the host computer is awaits an
acknowledgement reply. If this should not take place because of a computer outage, or other problem,
the COMP-U-DIFF will wait for 5 seconds, whereupon it will actuate an alert and issue a warning on
the screen:
No Computer Response Press any COUNT key
After pressing any of the COUNT keys the screen will then prompt the user to press the [EXEC]
key to re-initialize operation.
Not Acknowledge. This causes the unit to retransmit the report.
Acknowledge. This causes the unit to transmit the next report
stored in the batch memory.
