You can use this feature for security purposes by recording over a long period of time
(up to 6 hours with a T-40 tape).

Note (in Time Lapse mode) :
+ Sounds can not be recorded.
* Picture quality is lower than SLP mode.
* The tape is recorded at 1/3 the speed of SLP.
* The tape is played back at normal SLP speed
(3 times faster than it was originally recorded).
* Video noise may occur during playback.
¢ SP/SLP indications will not be displayed.
* Titles will not be displayed.
* Interval REC cannot be activated.
* Vertical jitter may occur depending on monitor
used.
* 10-Second Reminder (see page 19) will not
display during Time Lapse recording.
* Vertical jitter may occur in color-EVF during
playback.
CAUTION:
* Because recording system for the
Time Lapse feature is not part of VHS
standard, it is recommended to
playback tapes recorded in Time
Lapse mode on this Camcorder.
* Tapes not recorded in Time Lapse
mode may be played back on other
MEC type camcorders or
type

Before you begin...
* Connect the Camcorder to a power source.
For extended Camcorder use, the AC Adaptor
is recommended as the power source.
* Insert a cassette with record tab (see page 12).
* Set the POWER switch to CAMERA.
* Slide the TAPE SPEED Selector to SLP.
