EC - Heater too large / Heater too
small / No heater match

Methof of Error Detection:
Integrated control module LED
display provides the indicated
error
Error Decision Conditions:
Electric heaters fail to energize on
a call for W1 or Auxiliary
Emergency heat. Electric heat
airflow is higher than expected on
a call for W1 or Auxiliary
Emergency heat.
Board Flashes
EC
Verify the installed
electric heater is valid for
the air handler blower.
Check name plate or
specification sheet
applicable to your model
for allowable heater kit.
Are dipswitches
9,10,11 in the

correct position for
the size of heat kit
installed??
Yes
Board Flashes
ON. System is in

standby and
ready for
operation?
Yes
ERROR CODE - EC
Error Code - EC
Review the dip switch selection
chart located in the installation
manual.
If EC still present, cycle power
and verify dip switch settings
System has correctly been set
up for the appropriate heat kit.
