OPERATION INSTRUCTION ADDING BAR AND CHAIN LUBRICANT (See Figure 5) Use Bar and Chain Lubricant. It is designed for chains and chain oilers, and is formulated to perform over a wide temperature range with no dilution required. NOTE: Polesaw comes from the factory with no bar and chain oil added. MAINTENANCE W A R N I N G When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage. W A R N I N G Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields during power tool operation or when blowing dust. - Page 20 MAINTENANCE ADJUSTING CHAIN TENSION (See figure 10) Always switch off the machine and remove the battery before checking or adjusting chain tension. Wear protective gloves while handling the chain, bar or areas around the chain. 1. Untighten the side cover lock nuts (1) slightly by turning them counterclockwise. You do not need to remove the side cover (2) in order to adjust the chain tension.

- Page 22 MAINTENANCE CHAIN OILER • Use a lubricant that is designed for chains and chain oilers and is formulated to perform over a wide temperature range with no dilution required. • Remove the cap and carefully pour approximately 2 oz (57 g) of bar and chain lubricant into the bar lube reservoir.
