8 - If the oil level is near or below the lower limit mark (Min.),
fill the oil to the upper limit mark (Max.) (lower edge of
the filler hole).

Oil: SAE SJ 10W-30 - API service SJ or higher
◦
Tank capacity:
GE 3900 0.55 litres
GE 6900 1.1 litres
7.3.2 Replacement
1 - Place the generator on a level surface and start the en-
gine for a few minutes to heat the oil.
2 - Place a container under the cap (1) to collect the drained
oil.
3 - Unscrew the cap (1) and tilt the generator to let all the
engine oil flow out.
4 - Fill with new oil. For the details, see "7.3.1 Refuelling
and checks".
7.4
Engine air filter
WARNING
•
Clean the air filter more frequently if the generator set is used in dusty rooms.
•
Do not use petrol or flammable solvents to clean the filter.
7.4.1 Check and clean
1 - Unscrew the knob (2) to open the cover (1).
2 - Remove the air filter element (3).
3 - Wash the element with a solvent and dry it.
4 - Wet the element with oil and squeeze it out gently to
remove any excess oil.

The element should be wet, but it shouldn't drip.
5 - Insert the element into the filter case ensuring that the
surface adheres to the case.
6 - Close the cover (1) and tighten the knob (2).
