DEP Depth-of-field AE

Focus farthest subject.
• Aim the selected focusing point on the
farthest subject, then press the shutter
button. This is DEP point 2. (<2>4)
• The in-focus indicator lights and <•>
is displayed.

Compose the picture and press
the shutter button halfway. ((2)4)
• The point of focus is set between the
DEP 1 and DEP 2 points. The
aperture required to achieve the
desired depth of field and a suitable
shutter speed are set automatically.
• If you release the shutter button, "dEP"
and the aperture will be displayed.
• The exposure setting is set when the
picture is taken.
Take the picture.
• If the aperture display does not blink, the
desired depth of field will be obtained.
• If the shutter speed and aperture
displays do not blink, a correct
exposure will be obtained.
