Make sure the battery is properly fastened in the vehicle. Generator Before removing the generator you must disconnect the ground cable from the minus pole of the battery while the ignition is switched off.

Dirt and other contaminations must strictly be kept out of the system. Connections and screw fittings, filler neck covers and their immediate surrounding areas must be cleaned before removal.
