MAGAZINE
CAUTIONS
REGARDING
HANDLING
OF
MAGAZINES
@ When
inserting a magazine into the player, make
sure that the direction of insertion is correct.
@ After
use,
store
in the case
provided.
Do not
place in locations subjected to high temperatures
or exposed to direct sunlight.
@ Do not take magazines
apart.
@ Be careful not to drop, or hit magazines against
things.
Also, do not apply strong
force to trays
which
have been withdrawn.
@ Application
of
benzene,
thinner,
insecticide
or
other volatile liquids to a magazine may damage
the surface, so keep magazines
away from such
substances.
AFFIXING LABELS TO 6-DISC MAGAZINE
@ When
affixing the supplied
labels, make
sure to
affix them to the specified positions.
If labeis or
tape are affixed to other than the specified
po-
sitions, the magazine and player may not operate
correctly.

of stored discs and tracks

Classification
@ Do not affix one label on top of another.
(However,
F. and
G may
be
affixed
on
top
of
label C.)
NOTE:
@ In order to play an 8-cm CD Single you will need a special
Multi-Play Magazine (JD-M108) which is sold separately.
Be sure
to thoroughly read the Operating
Instructions
before using it.
@ 8-cm CD Single Adaptors
ft is possible that even an adaptor which meets recom-
mended
standard
CD
specifications
will not be usable
with the CD player.
It is recommended
that the special
Multi-Play Magazine (JD-M108) be used.
@ Never
load
an
8-cm
CD
Single
or its adaptor
into a
standard 12-cm magazine. This may seriously damage the
CD player.
@ Do not install only an 8-cm disc or only the adapter into
the supplied single-disc magazine.
About the CD magazines
JD-M100:
Magazine for six 12-cm discs.
JD-M108:
Magazine for six 8-cm discs.
@ Both
12-cm
discs
and
8-cm
discs
cannot
be
installed together in a magazine.
MAINTENANCE
Use soft dry cloth to clean paneis and cover.
In the case of heavy dirt, use soft damp cloth soaked in a neu-
tral detergent solution and wipe with dry cloth.
Do not use volatile chemicals such as benzine, thinner or insec-
ticide.
