7.10 Do not use the respirator with oxygen or oxygen-enriched air.
7.11 In case of work at a fast pace, the pressure inside the face mask
could drop to negative if the flow control valve is not completely open.
7.12 Do not use the respirator if the AL exhalation valve/P3 FILTER is not
properly screwed on. Ensure that the connection is tight before each
use.
7.13 The respirator is not designed for use with mobile compressed air
systems.
7.14 Perform a risk assessment to identify any possible hazardous gas
connections that are likely to exist in the workplace, such as nitrogen,
and any other connections to lines that supply gases other than
breathable air.
7.15 Do not use the respirator if, for any reason, it does not pressurize.
7.16 When putting on the equipment, make sure to follow the instructions
provided in these instructions for use.
7.17 The maximum length of the airline and the maximum number of users
connected to the air supply line must be such as to guarantee that
the pressure of the air flowing into the AL air control valve is between
5 and 6 bar.
8.
REPAIRS
8.1 Use only genuine KASCO replacement parts when making repairs.
8.2 Should you require technical assistance for problems that could arise
while using KASCO equipment, always have the following information
on hand:
a) Type of respirator
b) Serial number
c) Name of distributor or dealer
d) Type of problem
e) Air pressure
f) Type and concentration of pollutant
g) Hours operated
h) Frequency of use
Include a sketch or drawing of the type of work being carried out if you
feel it might be useful.

LABELLING
Respirator labels are as shown below:

The CE marking CE0426, applicable standard EN136:1998 CL3, the code,
serial number and date of manufacture can be found on a label positioned
inside the inner mask.
The manufacturer's name and the mask model are provided on the sides of
the exhalation valve connection.

10. TRANSPORT
The respirator is to be kept in its original packaging during transport.
11. STORAGE
Store the respirator in its original packaging. Store the respirator in its
original packaging at a temperature of between 0°C and +40°C and < 80%
humidity.
12. WARNING
12.1 BEFORE USE, CHECK THAT THE CODES, TYPES AND
QUANTITIES OF THE COMPONENTS CORRESPOND TO THOSE
LISTED ON THE RESPIRATOR COMPOSITION CHART SUPPLIED
WITH THE RESPIRATOR.
12.2 KASCO retains any type of warranty forfeited and declines any
liability either direct or indirect should our Use and Maintenance
instructions not be adhered to and should filters and replacement
parts other than genuine KASCO filters and replacement parts be
used.
12.3 THE LIABILITY FOR THE PROPER OPERATION OF THE
RESPIRATOR
IS

PURCHASER OR OPERATOR IF:

THE PRESCRIBED MAINTENANCE IS NOT CARRIED OUT
AND/OR REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE ARE CARRIED OUT
ON THE RESPIRATOR BY PERSONNEL NOT EMPLOYED BY
OR SERVICE CENTRES NOT AUTHORIZED BY KASCO.

INTENDED USES
Some of the intended uses for which this protective equipment was
designed are listed below:
Asbestos remediation and removal: glass manufacturing, vehicle
gasket perforation. Removal of friable asbestos, bulk insulation of
buildings or industrial plants with encapsulating operations and more
(e.g. removal of brakes from vehicles). Removal of friable asbestos
and bulk insulation of buildings without a preliminary encapsulating
operation.
Chemical and Pharmaceutical: Operations involving biological and
infectious disease hazards.
Building, construction and renovation: application of paints, finishes,
coatings, surfacing materials, etc.
Metalworking: Cutting/grinding/polishing metals or rust; sanding,
deburring, brushing and operations involving abrasive materials;
machining and scrapping.
Operations in enclosed spaces: operations performed in enclosed or
confined spaces with oxygen percentages of < 19.5% (septic tanks,
silos, manholes, sewers, stacks, pits, tunnels, etc.).
Painting: spray painting/latex painting.
Note: if using the backup system, the limitations listed at point 4.2 apply
