Thedishwasher requires
s oft water to ensure proper
washing results. Your appliance is equipped with an internal
water softening system. However, if you have a household
water softening system, you will not need to use this
softening system.
The required amount of salt depends on the degree of
hardness of your tap water.
(See table for mare information)
For the water softening system to function properly, it will
need to use dishwasher water softener salt.
0-110 0 - 6 H:O0
120-140 7 - 8 H:01 YES
150-180 9 - 10 H:02 YES
190-210 11 - 12 H:03 YES
220-290 13 - 17 H:04 YES
300-370 17 - 21 H:05 YES
380-540 22 - 31 H:06 YES
550-890 32 - 52 H:07 YES
Using salt
Fill the salt dispenser (using the funnel supplied to pour)
before turning the unit ON to ensure that salt overflow is
immediately washed away. This prevents corrosion.
. Open the screw-type cap of the salt dispenser.
. Fill the tank with water (only required when switching on
the unit for the first time).
. Add salt (dishwasher water softening salt) until the
water is displaced and runs out.
. Fill with salt as soon as the salt refill symbol illuminates.
NOTE: Refill salt in the appliance only when the salt refill
indicator is lit.
The amount of salt dispensed can be set from ':kl:O0" to
'_ H:07". Salt is not required at kl:O0 (this is the default
setting).
. Open the door.
. Turn the unit on by pressing the ':POWER" button.
. Hold down the ':CHINA GENTLE" and press ':START"
until the display indicates "H:O0".
o Release both buttons.
To change the setting,
o Press ':FAST WASH" until desired setting appears.
. Press the START button to save the selected setting.
. Close the door.
Do not use salt tablets or any salt other than dishwasher
water softening salt.
Never fill the salt dispenser with detergent. It will
destroy the water softening system. To prevent corrosion,
refill with salt and immediately begin any cycle.
