4. HANGING YOUR FAN
3. Take out the set screw located in the
hanger ball, lower the hanger ball and
remove the cross pin. Remove the hanger
ball from the hanger ball/downrod assembly
(Fig. 7).
4. Remove the set pin, safety lock clip and
set screws from the yoke on top of the motor
assembly. (Fig. 8)
5. Feed the wires from the fan motor
through the downrod. Align the holes at
the bottom of the downrod with the holes
in the collar on top of the motor housing.
Carefully insert the set pin through the
holes in the collar and downrod. Be careful
not to jam the pin against the wiring inside
the downrod. Insert the safety lock clip
through the hole near the end of the set pin
until it snaps into its locked position. (Fig.
8)
6. Tighten the two set screws on top of
the fan motor firmly. (Fig. 8)
7. Slip the yoke cover, the canopy cover,
and the canopy onto the downrod. (Fig. 9)
8. Carefully reinstall the hanger ball onto
the downrod. Being sure that the cross pin
is in the correct position, the set screw is
tightened and wires are not twisted. (Fig.
10)
NOTE: If a longer downrod (not included)
is needed, take out the screw located in the
hanger ball, lower the hanger ball and
remove the pin. Remove all three pieces
from the downrod and assemble them onto
the new longer downrod before proceeding
to the downrod installation. Be sure to snap
together the 2-pin and 3-pin connectors, the
two male plugs from the fan and female
plugs from the extension cord.
9. Lift the fan motor place into the hanger
bracket, rotating the ball until the groove
engages the tab on the hanger bracket.
This locks the ball mount and fan motor,
preventing fan rotation during operation.

10. Secure the safety cable to the building
structure using a wood screw (not included).
