4.) Prolonged operation
 For prolonged operation, press the on/off switch (3) and the switch lock button (4) at the
same time.
 After finishing your work, quickly press the on/off switch (3) and release it again.
 Before you put away the machine, release the lock to prevent the machine from being
inadvertently switched on the next time it is used.
 Before reconnecting the machine to the mains, make sure that the switch lock has been
released.
5.) Clockwise/anticlockwise turning direction
You can switch the turning direction of the drill.
 WARNING: Do not switch the drill's turning direction while the motor is moving.
 To change the turning direction of the drill, turn the lever (7) above the on/off switch (3) to
the left or right.
6.) Turning speed control wheel
The drill is equipped with a control wheel to set the turning speed. Turning the wheel (6) on
the on/off switch (3) will either increase or decrease the turning speed of the drill according to
the marking on the switch. You can also regulate the turning speed of the drill by adjusting
the pressure on the on/off switch (3).
The following instructions apply to the selection of an appropriate turning speed:
 Use a low turning speed for pre-drilling into non-predrilled materials, for screwing, mixing
paint, or drilling into ceramics.
 Use a medium turning speed for drilling into metals and plastics.
 Use a high turning speed for drilling into wood, stone, and soft metals.
7.) Drilling / impact drilling
 When drilling into metal, wood or plastic or when inserting or removing screws, the switch
(2) should be turned to the Drill symbol.
 When drilling into stone or concrete, the switch (2) should be turned to the Hammer
symbol.
 Always ensure before beginning work that the switch is in the correct position, otherwise
this may damage the tool or the item you are working upon.
