Trying set model 710 manually to 225 degrees I hit temp button,rotate know to 225,hit temperature button again to set 225 BUT temperature rises above desired temperature. I also have 710 logged into smartphone but cannot see how to set temp I see profile recipes etc.WHY is using so complicated

The Masterbuilt model 710 may exceed the desired temperature of 225°F if too many pellets are in the crucible from the prime process, causing the temperature to reach up to 450°F. This triggers error ERR3. To prevent this, turn off the controller (do not unplug), allow the smoker to burn off excess pellets, then restart without priming.
