7.6 Diagnostic

7.6.1 PING

Path: Maintenance -> Diagnostic -> PING
The ping command is a very common method for troubleshooting the accessibility of devices. It uses a series of
Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) Echo messages to determine:
Whether a remote host is active or inactive.
The round-trip delay in communicating with the host.
Packet loss.
Specify the domain or IP of the host you want to contact, then click on
begins to process. You will receive output results from the system indicating the reachability of the destination.

7.6.2 Trace Route

The traceroute command is used to discover the routes that the packets actually took while traveling to their
destination.
Path: Maintenance -> Diagnostic -> Traceroute
In the IP Address/Domain Name field, specify the IP or domain name that you want to look up and click on
button to begin tracing.
