INSTALLATION
installing the drive
The drive should be positioned horizontally, close to your host,
because of limited interface cable length.
Host interface connections
Connect the SCSI cable to the SCS! interface card of your host.
Connect the other end to one of the SCSI connectors at the rear
_ of the CDD522 cabinet.
The SCSI connectors on the rear allow to daisy-chain multiple
drives.If more than one unit is connected, then make sure to set
different SCS! addresses to the different units via the dipswitches
on the back of the unit.(see appendix p.14 for more information
on the use of the dipswitches).
Be sure to terminate the last device in the SCSI chain. If this is
the CDD522 CD-Recorder, you have to mount an external
terminator, mating with the half-pitch SCSI-2 type connector on
the rear of the unit. Please consult your dealer in order to obtain
such a termihator.

The CDD522 CD-Recorder can be connected to various
computer platforms via the provided standardized SCSI interface.
On top of that software support is available for various Operating
Systems (refer to table on next page for an example of currently
available application software packages.)
