For
continuous
operation
in
temperatures
consistently
below
20°F,
the
Cessna
winterization
kit and
non-congealing
oil cooler
should
be in-
stalled
to
improve
engine
operation.
The winterization
kit consists
of
two
shields
to
partially
cover
the
cowl nose
cap opening,
one shield
to
cover
the
carburetor
air intake,
and insulation
for
the
crankcase
breather
line.
Once
installed,
the
crankcase
breather
insulation
is
approved
for perma-
nent use in both cold and hot weather.
The non-congealing
oil cooler
re-
places
the
standard
oil cooler
and
provides
improved
oil flow
through the
cooler
in cold weather.
GROUND
SERVICE PLUG RECEPTACLE.
A
ground
service
plug receptacle
may be installed
to
permit
use of
an
external
power
source
for cold weather
starting
and
during
lengthy
main-
