• First, use the ASM (Automatic Search Memory) function to preset all active channels in your area
automatically.
Then, arrange the preset channels with the SEARCH, SKIP and MFT (Manual Fine Tuning) functions so that
you can tune into only desired channels.
• Use the SEARCH function if desired channels cannot be preset with the ASM or if you would like to preset
channels to specific position numbers one by one.
To preset channels (ASM, SEARCH)
To use the ASM function
Select the head of the position

number to start the ASM with
the CH s/t buttons or the
digit/direct select (-/--, 0 – 9)
buttons.

Press the MENU button and
press the ; –/+ buttons to
display the SET UP menu on
the screen.

Confirm that " COLOR" is set to " AUTO" and " SOUND"
is set to proper system.
If not, press the CH s/t buttons to move the cursor
(S) to " COLOR" or " SOUND" and press the ; –/+
buttons to select each proper system. (See page 23).
Select the TUNING menu

page, and move the cursor
(S) to " ASM" .
Press the ; + button to start

the ASM. All active channels
will be preset automatically.
When
presetting
complete, the initial position
number will reappear.
Press the ; – button to
cancel ASM function.
After presetting
Check the preset channels by pressing the CH s/t buttons.
• If the picture or sound of a certain channel is not good, fine-
tune the channel using the MFT function. (See page 13).
• If the color of a certain channel is abnormal, automatic color
system selection (AUTO) may malfunction, or sound system
selection is wrong. In such a case, select another color and/
or sound system. (See page 23).

display the TUNING menu on
the screen.
Press the CH s/t buttons to

Press the ; –/+ buttons to

start searching.
The ; + button searches
for the higher-numbered
channels.
Press the ; – button to
cancel SEARCH function.
The ; – button searches
for the lower-numbered
channels.
Press the ; + button to cancel SEARCH function.
Repeat this process until you can get the desired
channel.

When the desired channel is
shown, press the CH t button
to select " POSITION" .
Press the ; –/+ buttons

repeatedly until the position
number to be preset is shown.
When the desired program

appears, press the CH s/t
buttons to select " MEMORY" ,
then press the ; + button to
memorize the channel at the
current position.

When you program other
channels, repeat steps 2
to 6.
