6. Press the PIP CH (-) key twice to write the changed data values into EEPROM. Pressing the
PIP CH (-) once will display the message "? ADJ. PARAMETER? ROM WRITE ?" and the
second press confirms that the new values will be written to EEPROM. Green dots appear
after the operation is complete.
7. Press the Mute button three times to exit.
Adjustment Procedure (16 x 9 Mode)
8. Input a 1080i signal.
9. Press the Exit key on the remote control transmitter five times to exit to the Video Mode.
10. Change the remote control transmitter to TV Mode by removing and replacing one battery.
Note that the TV light now illuminates.
11. Change the input to 1080i Mode.
12. Enter the Customer Menu, select FORMAT, and change to 16 x 9 HD Mode.
13. Exit the Customer Menu.
14. Press the Service Only switch to return to DCAM.
15. Change the remote control transmitter to DCU Mode by removing one battery, pressing and
holding the 7 and 9 keys, and replacing the battery. Note that the TV light does not
illuminate in DCU Mode.
16. Repeat steps 2 through 7 above for 16 x 9 Mode.
17. Turn off power to the set.
DCU Intellisense Pattern Setup
Note: This adjustment is only necessary when a new DCU is being applied. Each model has
a specific setup pattern position.
Adjustment Preparation
1. Input an NTSC, RF, or video signal.
2. With power off, press and hold the Service Only button on the Convergence/Focus board,
press the Power button until a picture appears, then release both buttons. The picture will be
displayed without convergence correction data. Press the Service Only button to bring up the
internal crosshatch pattern.
Adjustment Procedure (Normal Mode)
1. Change the remote control transmitter to DCU Mode by removing one battery, pressing and
holding the 7 and 9 keys, and replacing the battery. Note that the TV light does not
illuminate in DCU Mode.
2. Press the Freeze key on the remote control transmitter. One additional line should appear
near the top and near the bottom.
3. Press the Help key to display the PATTERN Mode as shown in the diagram.
