Handling controller
The electronic circuits for control including the
q
microcomputers are assembled in the controller.
These electronic circuits in the controller must be
handled with care as they control the machine.
Do not place objects on top of the controller.
q
Cover the control connectors with tape or a vinyl
q
bag. Never touch the connector contacts.
During rainy weather, do not leave the controller
q
in a place where it is exposed to rain.
Do not place the controller on oil, water, or soil,
q
or in a place that can be heated to a high
temperature even for a short period of time.
(Place it on a suitable dry stand.)

Precautions when performing arc welding
q
When performing arc welding on the machine
body, disconnect all the wiring harness connec-
tors connected to the controller. Put the arc
welding ground to the place close to the welding
point.

troubleshooting
circuits
Be sure to turn the starting switch to "OFF" posi-
q
tion before disconnecting or connecting the con-
nectors.
Before performing troubleshooting, check all the
q
related connectors for loose connection.
a Check the related connectors for their perfor-
mance by disconnecting and connecting
them several times.
Be sure to connect all the disconnected connec-
q
tors before proceeding to the next step.
a If the starting switch is turned to "ON" posi-
tion with the connectors disconnected, the
failure which is not related to the part which is
actually failed.
When performing the troubleshooting for the cir-
q
cuit (measurement of voltage, resistance, conti-
nuity, current, etc.), shake the related wiring
harnesses and connectors several times and
check that the multimeter reading does not
change.
a If there is any value change on the multime-
ter, there may be a defective contact in the
circuit.
