2. When removing from clips
Both of the connector and clip have stoppers,
q
which are engaged with each other when the
connector is connected.

When removing a connector from a clip, pull
the connector in a parallel direction to the clip
for removing stoppers.
a If the connector is pried up and down or to
the right and left, the housing may break.
3. Action to take after removing connectors .
After removing the connector, cover it with
q
the vinyl bag to prevent entry of dust, dirt,oil
or water in the contact portion.
a If the machine is left disassembled for a
long time, it is particularly easy for im-
proper contact to occur, so always cover
the connector.

Connecting connectors
1. Check the connector visually.
Check that there is no oil, dirt or water stick to
q
the connector pins (joint portion).
Check that the connector pins are free from
q
deformation, defective contact, corrosion, or
damage.
Check that external surfaces of the connec-
q
tors are free from damage or breakage.
a If any oil, water or dirt is stuck to the con-
nector, wipe it off with a dry cloth. If any
water is inside the connector, warm the
connector and the inside of the wiring har-
ness with a dryer. But be careful not to
make it too hot as it causes short circuit.
a If there is any damage or breakage, re-
place the connector.
2. Fix the connector securely.
Align the connectors correctly, and fit them
q
securely. For the connectors with the lock
stopper, push in the connectors until "click" is
heard.
3. Correct the protrusion of the boot and misalign-
ment of the wiring harness
For connectors fitted with the boot, correct
q
any extrusion of the boot. In addition, if the
wiring harness or the clamp is out of the po-
sition, put it in its original position.
