MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
1. Throttle body
2. Side cover screws
7. Insert the needle of the lubricant
can in the end of throttle cable
adjuster.
8. Place a rag around the throttle ca-
ble adjuster to prevent the lubri-
cant from splashing.

9. Add lubricant until it runs out at
throttle body end of the throttle
cable.
10. Reinstall and adjust the cable.

1. Slide rubber protector back to ex-
pose throttle cable adjuster.

2. Loosen lock nut then turn the ad-
juster to obtain correct throttle lev-
er free play.
3. Measure throttle free play at the tip
of throttle lever.
1. 2 mm.079 in
4. Tighten lock nut and reinstall
protector.
5. With the shift lever on PARK posi-
tion, start the engine.
6. Check if the throttle cable is ad-
justed correctly by turning handle-
bar fully to the right then fully to the
left. If the engine RPM increases,
readjust the throttle lever free play.

1. Remove the side panels to reach
the spark plug areas.
2. Unplug the spark plug cable.
