Charger Bosch C40-Li I Operating instructions
◾ This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
◾ Children shall not play with the appliance.
◾ Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
◾ For indoor use only.
◾ Dustproof, waterproof
◾ Class II Construction (double insulated).

3 Operation

3.1

Before commissioning

1. Read the battery operating instructions before connecting up the charger.
2. Observe the vehicle manufacturer's recommendation if the battery is still connected
to the vehicle.
3. Clean the battery terminals. When doing so, do not allow the dirt to come into
contact with your eyes or mouth.
4. Ensure adequate ventilation. Hydrogen gas (electrolytic gas) may escape from the
battery during charging and trickle charging.
3.2
Connecting
1. Connect the (+) port (red) of the charger to the (+) port on the battery.
2. Connect the (–) port (black) of the charger to the (–) port of the battery.
3. The (–) connector (black) can also be connected to the body, but far away from fuel
lines
Note: Make sure that the (+) and (–) ports are fixed. Make sure that the screws of the
clamps are firm.
4. Connect the power plug to the mains.
3.3
Disconnecting
1. Put the charger into standby mode by pressing the mode selector button.
2. Always start by unplugging the power cord.
3. Disconnect the (–) port (black) of the charger from the (–) connector of the battery.
4. Disconnect the (+) port (red) of the charger from the (+) port on the battery.
