3. Install the new baffle with a carriage bolt (5/16 x 1
inch) and nut (5/16 inch) from the previously removed
baffle (Figure 20). Use a new bolt (5/16 x 1-3/8
inches) and flange nut (5/16 inch) to secure one side
of the baffle (Figure 20).

4. Install a carriage bolt and flange nut into the front hole
shown in Figure 20.
5. Align the holes in the chute and install it onto the bolts.
Secure the chute to the mower deck with the two knobs
and flat washers (5/16 inch) (Figure 21).

6. Hook the flexible latch on the chute to the retaining
clasp welded on the mower deck to the rear of the
