Tv POWERKey
When this key is pressed with the Hi-Fi Monitor Receiver MAIN
POWER switch on, the Hi-Fi Monitor Receiver enters the operat-
ing mode.

@ PLAY key (P)
Pressing the play key once sets the unit in the play mode.
@ Stop/ejectkey (H/ 4)
Pressing the stop/eject key once stops the operation. To eject
the disc, press the same key again.

Chapter skip keys ( ki, PRI )
This function can be used to skip material as far as the start of
the next chapter or to repeat playback from the start of the chap-
ter now being played back.

side: Skip to start of next chapter.

side: Skip to start of chapter currently being played
This key can be used to operate with LD Players with CHAPTER
SKIP function.
@ Tenchannel call keys
These keys can be used to directly select the channel you wish to
watch.
@ Standard (STD) key
When this key is pressed, the picture is reset to the standard ad-
justment values.
@ PICTURE adjustment mode selector key
By pressing this key consecutively, the various picture adjustment
modes can be selected.
The model for the PAL/SECAM system is not equipped with the
TINT function.

@ Picture ADJ. keys (4, P)
This key is used to perform fine tuning of the picture. The adjust-
ment mode is selected with the PICTURE key.

CH
RETURN key
Pressing the CH RETURN key selects the previous channel (the
one selected before current channel). Pressing this key again re-
calls the current channel.

Multichannel Television Sound (MTS) key
Pressing this key allows you to switch audio muttiple modes
(MAIN, SAP or MAIN/SAP}. [U.S. only]

@ When MONO mode is selected, MTS
AUTO indicator does
not light up.
@ MUTE key
Press this key to temporarily turn off the sound. The indication
appears in red. To return the sound to its previous level, press the
key once again.

Sound VOLUME keys
Press these keys to adjust the sound volume.
@® CHANNEL selector keys (— CHANNEL +)
These keys are pressed to select a memorized TV channel.
@® Scankeys (44, PP)
When the unit is in the play mode, pressing the <4 side sets the
unit in the fast-reverse mode; the PP side, in the fast-forward
mode
® Function selector keys (VIDEO, VIDEO DISC, TV)
Press these keys to select a video component, video disc player,
or television.
@ PICTURE MEMORY recall key
Press this button to recall a memorized picture quality. Each time
it is pressed, the picture quality will change as follows.

@ SLEEP selector key
By pressing this key, the Hi-Fi Monitor Receiver can be set to turn
off {to the standby mode) automatically after 90, 60, or 30 mi-
nutes.
@® DISPLAY cali key
To display the FV channel, input selector, and other functions on
the screen,
press this key. The indication appears
in yellow.
When the key is pressed again, the display disappears from the
screen.
