Measure the distanceat La and Lb, and Lc and Ld.

If La quals Lb and Lc quals Ld, there is no need to adjust the
mirrorbase.
Move tie No.2 mirrorbase rafllocationup or down to adjust.
If La is greater than Lb:
Shift the paper exit side No.2 mirror base rail up hati the dis-
tance between La and Lb.
If La is notgreaterthan Lb:
Shift the paper exit side No.2 mirrorbase rail down haffthe dis-
tan~ between La and Lb.
(Example):
If La is 12mm and Lb 9mm, shiftthe paper exit side No.2 mirror
base rail 1.5mm up.

(La – Lb)/ 2 = (12 - 9)/2 = 1.5
If Lc is greaterthan Ld:
Shift the paper ent~ stie No.2 mirrorbase rail up half the dis-
tance between Lc and Ld.
If Lc is not greaterthan Ld:
Shiftthe paper entry side No.2 mirrorbase raildown half the dis-
tance between Lc and Ld.
If La Am and Lc ALd then proceed to next step.

Manual~ rotate the mirror base dfie pulley to insure that the
mirrorbases do notcontacteach other.
NOTE: Move the mirror base rail carefully to prevent possible
damage to the mirrorbases.
E. Lensbaseunitadjustments
Adjustmentis rquired for any of the followingreasons:
After replacementor removalof a lensbase unitcomponent.
When the proper resolutionis not producedover the entire copy
area.
When a magnification errork encountered.
When centerdeviationis incorrect.
