Routing and Connecting the
Wiring Harness onto the
Backhoe
No Parts Required
Procedure
1. Remove the 4 bolts and 4 washers that secure the
controls cover to the operator pedestal of the backhoe,
and remove the cover

2. Route the backhoe harness upward and along the
2 leftmost hydraulic hoses at the back plate of the
backhoe
(Figure
27).

3. Two-socket connector
4. Seat-post tube
3. Route the harness upward and between the left and
right console-support plates of the operator pedestal
(Figure
27).
4. Route the branch of the harness with a 2-socket
connector through the tube of the seat post
5. Connect the 2-socket connector of the backhoe wiring
harness to the 2-pin connector of the operator presence
switch
(Figure
28).
Note: Ensure that there is enough slack in the branch
of the harness for the operator-presence switch at the
forward end of the seat post.
