(2) Types of test commands and their functions.
The table is automatically moved forward and backward to permit testing of table movement.
When the table actuates microswitches, MS5, MS6, and MS7, it makes the relevant LED actuated.
Operation under any magnification mode is possible by the use the magnification key.

on in the same manner as in test command 01.

failure or a related circuit.

Heater lamp is turned on and off five times. If the heater lamp turns on (0.7 seconds) and off (0.7
seconds) five times, there is no failure in the output section of the LSI or associated circuits. If
the heater lamp continues to be on or off, it can be assumed that the failure is in the triac or heater
lamp, or the LSI output section.
NOTE: _ if the fuser rollers are at proper temperature (WTL), the heater lamp will not turn on in
this test command. This will prevent an over temperature condition in the fuser unit.

Copy lamp is activated for 5 seconds. This allows checking of the voltage on the CL Reg PWB while
the copy lamp is active.
Auto exposure and manual exposure are possible.
MHVG is turned on for 30 seconds. This test command allows performance of the current adjust-
ment for the MHVG, main PWB signal checks, or proper functioning of the MHVG.
THVG is turned on for 30 seconds. This test command allows checking of the main PWB voltage or
proper functioning of the THVG.
DHVG is turned on for 30 seconds. This test command allows checking of the main PWB voltage or
proper functioning of the DHVG.
The discharge lamp, void lamp, and blank lamp are activated for 30 seconds. When the reduction
mode is assigned for the depression of the PRINT switch, blank lamps pertinent to that reduction
mode are turned on. This test command allows checking of the output voltage (or activation of the
discharge lamp) and main PWB voltage while the discharge lamp is active.
