OPERATING PROCEDURES & MAINTENANCE
4. **Run a Cleaning Cycle:**
If your ice maker has a cleaning or descaling cycle, initiate it. If not, turn the ice
maker back on and run it until the solution has circulated through the system.
5. **Let it Sit:**
Allow the descaling solution to sit in the ice maker for the recommended amount
of time. This gives the solution an opportunity to dissolve mineral deposits.
6. **Flush with Clean Water:**
After the designated time, run clean, warm water through the ice maker to flush
out the descaling solution. You may need to run multiple cycles until the water
runs clear.
7. **Wipe Down Surfaces:**
Use a soft cloth or sponge to wipe down the interior surfaces of the ice maker.
This helps remove any remaining residue.
8. **Restart the Ice Maker:**
Once you've flushed out the descaling solution and wiped down the interior, turn
the ice maker back on and allow it to produce a batch of ice.
9. **Discard the First Batch:**
Discard the first batch of ice produced after descaling to ensure any residual
cleaning solution or loosened deposits are removed.
10. **Regular Maintenance:**
Consider implementing a regular descaling schedule, depending on your water

e ciency of your ice maker.
When the machine is not in use for a long time, drain water completely out and
dry the interior.
