Please read before plugging in your scanner
Hello and thank you for choosing Unitech's MS336 2D Imager.
• To begin using your MS336 Imager, start by installing the
USB driver. The driver can be found on the CD or
downloaded from
• Then, install the Imager Configuration Manager. This can
also be found on the CD or our website.
• Your next step is to plug your scanner into your
computer's USB port. After a few seconds, your computer
should automatically detect the scanner and display a
message that it is ready to use.
You may then begin scanning your data or configuring your
MS336. There are two basic modes of operation: HID Emulation,
and Imaging Interface.
If you use HID Emulation mode, all configurations will have to be
done with the manual, as the ICM software will not recognize the
scanner.
With this mode, you will be able to scan into any
program that you could normally type into, without using the
ICM software to route output to your programs HID Emulation is
the default mode.
The Imaging interface mode is required if you wish to use the
software to configure your scanner.
